I really think that if LAGO used the FSSE concept and mixed it with the FSSC (or Airport & Scenery Designer by Abacus) concept and allow it to exported to .BGL, I thing they would have one hell of a hit in sales!!!

Imagine being able to create your own airport with runway, tarmac, taxiways, etc. with the ease that FSSE presents, but still be able to add the ILS, NDB, VOR, GPS approaches, etc.

I would pay some damn good money for something like that!

To sum it up... FSSE + FSSC = AN AWESOME PROGRAM!

Me too. I'd also like to see .api macros supported. Imagine being able to import any .api item into FSSE for placement. Right now it's limited to the objects that come with it (some are great but others are a little lame). If I don't like say one of the houses then I go to EOD and make myself a house (just finished a cool log home) export it as an .api macro and use FSSC to put it in my scenery. FSSE gets left alone. If I could use FSSE to position my house then I'd be much more likely to do it that way for the instant perspective I get on how it looks in my scenery.

At present I don't think they even offer any add on items for FSSE. You get what you bought and that's that. After a while though people get tired of the same old stuff and learn to design their own and use other programs to do so. That's where Lago is missing out.

Proprietary stuff seems to be declining lately. Look at all the new games that come with the ability to design and modify. Hopefully Lago will get on that bandwagon and open up FSSE some.

Well, according to some reports over at the LAGO forum... FSSE will allow you to import GMAX items when they release the version for 2004.  I have much messed with FSSC or A&SD (Abacus), I have tried several times with A&SD I can create the airport and even get it to show up in the airport list on FS, but I can't get .api macros to show... no runway to show, nothing... it puts me at the airport, but it is just default scenery!

Sad

Guess, I am an idiot when it comes to that stuff...

I agree Matt... What I'd like to see with FSSE for the ACOF version.

1. Ability to create and import your own objects/textures.
2. Ability to scale horizontally (X) and vertically (Y) instead of value.
3. Ability to export it as a .BGL file.
4. More GA static aircraft.

But, like I said... if you could export it as a .BGL, then there would be less of a need for FSSE, other than that of those that like to create scenery.  So I doubt LAGO will allow it to be exported as a .BGL file.  But, here is food for thought... I really think that if LAGO used the FSSE concept and mixed it with the FSSC (or Airport & Scenery Designer by Abacus) concept and allow it to exported to .BGL, I thing they would have one hell of a hit in sales!!!

Actually I Fozzer, I started a topic there yesterday... I included all but the ability to export to .BGL because we all know what they are going to say.  I did mention the others and most people seem to agree.  So how are the wife and kids? Give 'em my best of wishes.  As far as the importing feature goes, LAGO has said that we will have the ability to import objects created in GMAX.
