OK I'm back again,I was doing good.Animations, some textures(Is it me or is it that complicated).Did left wheel, and rear wheel. No prob(well maybe a little),did right wheel in the same pattern and WHAM!! I knew it was going to good(you think all these probs that everybody has is part of the promotional package).OK back to the prob,Right wheel won't roll, the others work fine.Made it,named it and textured it in the same steps .I only worked on it for about 6 HRS. Tried making new parts, copying parts, linking parts(well that worked for the r_tire_still,but when I linked to l_tire_blurred it just vanished.Any suggs why right tire no rollie? THANX

What design program are you using? If it is FSDS 2, the question is why are you linking the right tire to the left one? Each tire should have three motions to it ( Right tire, R tire still and r tire blurred). There is no need to link this to the left tires. If you are using GMAX I reaaly can't answer the question, since I don't use it, but I assume that the principle is the same.
Any further questions post again and I will try to help.

OOPS,I am using Gmax, and I did use the correct name for the parts, the left and center wheel did just fine.Used the same procedure with the right wheel but no movment.Linking is out of DESPERATION(and to see if it would work). The "r_tire_still" worked, but the "r_tire_blurred" did not.I am wondering if someone else had this prob(but found the cure)! 8)

Providing you use the correct part names it should work. If it's a retractable gear check the parts hierarchy to make sure it's not defined as the the child of a disappearing parent somewhere up the list. I don't use Gmax but in FSDS2 I would duplicate the left hand parts & transfer them to the right. Then rename them accordingly for the animation. This saves time & makes the whole thing far more accurate. In FSDS2 we select the animation part names from a list so there's no typos & less chance of a mistake.

Gmax uses the same names as FS02 also, and yes I duplicate and paste and then change the names too.The other two wheels work fine ,I double and triple checked eveything I could think of,I even made a test part, named it but still no go.I even reloaded all the MDL makers, and the other two still work good,I'll run with a locked up wheel till it's cured.Thanx

Did you check the heirachy of the wheels? The Still and Blurred should be children of the right wheel and the right wheel should be a child of the gear or axel. Is there an animation section to check the motions before you run Fs2002?

Just a thought. I use 3 parts for each wheel.
r_tire
r_tire_blurred
r_tire_still
If one is missing that might explain it.

OK check this,I switched the names of the left wheels and renamed them the right wheels, and renamed the right wheels the names of the left wheels(whew! with me still). Now the right side wheels turn(which I named all leftys),and the left side dose not(which I named all rightys)And yes I am using the correct part names(unless the MDL MKER DOC names are wrong),but I have'nt seen anyone else with this yet.So I dont think it's that.Any SUGGS? ???THANX

Being not that familiar with Gmax, the last remaining possibility could be that you right motion files are corrupt. Is there any way that you could reinstall Gmax or at least that part and see if that works. If you uninstall and reinstall make sure you move your model to a safe place so that it won't get destroyed.

Last time I did that it was a problem, sometimes Gmax seems unstable and it's an install process .I can deal with the wheel for now.Thanx for the input, but I think I missled every body. It works in FS02, it's CFS2 it dosent roll in.I allready changed the model makers,ect...Has any one heard if a type of fonts effects it?I'm reaching here. The ailerons, flaps, spoilers, wingfold, prop, canopy(had a little trouble there).they all work.I use Mdl Middle Man,Mdl Converter.Tried different options settings.Somebody will come up with something or I'll be buying alot of tires.Thanx

It's not a gmax problem - it's more the quirky way of the CFS2 model engine. I remember reading on it in teh FFDS forum but I don't remember what the solution was ... I'll have to check teh archived messages.
