I was a cadet in the ATC, and am now waiting to get into the RAF, at least one more year so that I can finish my highers.

I've been to Paris, great show.
It's an expensive airshow though... but well worth it for an enthusiast. I went in '90 or '91 (the other year was Farnborough).

That's just entry...
There are also costs for food/drink (theft basically when you consider what they charge) and added costs if you want to enter the flightline show area.
It is possible to get some good shots from the free area, but not many chances.

that flightline area sounds interesting. how much do they ask for that? and do you have to order such a ticket in advance?

It's been a dozen years since I was there...but I remember it being more expensive than the basic entry was!
I was also able to walk right up to a ticket booth and get a ticket for the area at the last minute. That area does have the advantage of seats...after all that walking a seat can be a fine idea.

the show started very well for Airbus Industries! Emirates ordered 41 Airbuses (21 A380's). it was Airbus biggest order in history!
and some people claim it's going bad with the aviation industrie
