Hi Bird man. Try painting the white part True Black (Red =0, Green=0, Blue=0 ) This defines transparency on the panel. Then lower the outside view part of the window to cover it. This is easily adjusted from CfgEdit/Window/Set Default Position. My CFS1 Panel Clinic shows the principle which is basically the same for all sims.

Hope this helps.
PS. The sig pic can be included with your Signature below your posts. The one to the left is usually referred to as your avatar. The avatar pic will be automatically resized for the forum but either should obviously be around the correct size to start with.

I don't think that's it.
It's a while since I used CfgEdit from scratch but I think it's something to do with the level at which you've set the view of your 'horizon'
You need to lower it a bit so it goes behind the main panel bmp.
Trouble is your panel is much lower than the average....
Don't know whether you can still do it it FS2002 - you could in FS98 - click on the sky view and stretch it down to see it it works. If it does, it confirms the problem
Unless of course as Hagar says (and he's usually right) it's actually a white area on your panel bmp that needs to be made transparent!!
BTW - what are you flying there - a 1936 Bentley Continental??

Oops. Sorry, I'm not used to working with those half-sized panel BMPs they use in FS. I didn't realise the area not covered by it would show up as white in CfgEdit.
My other suggestion was correct. From CfgEdit/Window/Set Default Position move the slider down to lower the outside view window. This will change the SIZE_Y= value in Panel.cfg. This shot of the default C182 panel BMP should show what I mean.

Sorry ive taken a little time to get back to you............
My Brain is prossesing the directives............slowly.
You were right first time Hagar, except painting only the top pixel wasn't enough but covering the whole of the top area with true black worked. M$ paint can't have bounderies which fit tight around the the panel, it just has a rectangle which you can cover the area with.

Errh, no.
A. Are you taking the mickey of my excelent panel designing skills
B. Is that a joke on its own?
C. Does it look like one, if it does its great
D. At that moment in time I was flying a Bombardier CRJ200-ER
E. The panel is not designed to look like anything - just experimenting
.
F. I wasn't around in 1936 and I dont know what A Bently Continental is,
You could have meant any of these, so here are answers to any comment intended I can think of
.

No problem. It wasn't too clear from your shot. Glad you fixed it anyway. You will know by now that all transparent areas must be True Black.

Try the Bucket Fill tool next time.

Well yes I do know about the bucket, and I did use for doing that (I didn't paint it with rectangles
).
I didn't mean that, but looking it now it does look like I meant that, and the thing I did mean to mean I don't mean any more as it was a statement of the obvios, which is silly.
Thanks again Hagar. On my other computer I have found another paint program called M$ Photodraw which is much better. M$ is not good enough. (full stop)
