You all may think i'm kidding, but a railroad company really did murder a cousin of mine for refusing to sell property to them. I forget her name, but I remember her son's name. His name was Jesse James Grin

Hi Fozzer,

You're really getting me off subject...! Grin

Have you ever heard people refer to America as the 'Melting Pot'? My family history is a classic example of just that.

The Esselbach family emigrated from Germany in the late 1860s. They had a son in 1973 who married a Swedish emigrant. Their son is my Grandfather. His wife's (my Grandmother) family history isn't as simple. Her family is mostly Dutch, and has been in America for a long time. I don't know how long but I do know I have ancestors on that side of the family who fought in the Revolutionary war, war of 1812, Civil war, & spanish and mexican war.

This is all on my dad's side of the family.

We don't know much about my mom's family history. Her ancestors have been in America for a long time, before the revolutionary war. We don't know much about who or where they came from, but we do know there are French roots way back. All my outlaw relatives are on her side of the family Grin

So there you have it, atleast a little. There is a lot to my family history. I have an aunt who traced our Family all the way back to the year 70 A.D, so there's quite a bit and I won't be going into detail now. Wink

So even though I'm mostly of German, & English descent, our family traces it's roots all over Europe.
