Please could someone tell me what has happened to the flightcraft website.  I went to it this morning and everything was fine, I used the link at avsim, www.flightcraft.net and when ever I try to go there now, it says that there is no website registered under that address!  How wierd is that?  What's going on?

Thanks,
Greg

Keep trying.  The same thing happened to me last night.  Then I tried later on in the evening and I was able to get in.  It could be because there are a lot of users trying to access the same cool A330-200 that you are....  It is worth the wait.  Be paitient and keep trying....

Started downloading that A330, and then stopped.

Does it have a virtual cockpit?

Hi all,

I don't think that the flightcraft A330-200 is all that great. Posky 330 seem to look better IMHO.

The thing I don't like about Posky is that the doors and stuff is not animated.  Posky makes great looking models, but when it comes to taking advantage of all that FS is able to do, they do not.... IMHO:)

That's true. However, they are going to add a virtual cabin when they release version 1.5 I believe it is. A few things I didn't like about the flightcraft.

I flew for a few minutes and I noticed too much power IMHO i could be wrong. When landing, I was coming in at around 100kts and still took me almost half of the runway to be able to touch down because it  glided for so long. Also it has huge wings and a little body. Like I said I could be wrong about all of this. Maybe fs2002 was messed up or something. I still think they did a good job though, way better than what I could have done.

What I don't like about posky. No animated doors, no virtual cockpit ( at least for now). If you go to their forums and ask when they will release the virtual cockpit, your message will get locked if not deleted. Virtual cockpit related stuff are forbidden over there. A few members of Posky team are snappy. What I mean by that is for intance If you make a suggestion they will reply with some like this "We will continue to make what we like when we like....."

Somebody was complimenting their Boeing 744 and asked is it was possible to add a virtual cockpit to it and how, and this is what one of the members of posky said.

"Sorry there is unfortunately no way you can do so.

So here's your option.
1) Build your own 744 with a VC
2) Continuing flying ours without the VC
3) Use the default MS FS's 744 with their VC"

See what I'm saying? Way too much ego there.

PS. Sorry if I offended anyone in anyway. That was not my intention.

Well Selby, you didn't offend me.

One of the reasons I value forums like this is that is a mine of information. Not only the factual stuff, but related opinion and experience.

I've never visited the Posky forum and whilst I'm one for making my own mind up about things, I'm not likely to be joining after seeing the quotes from there.

On a more general note, whilst I'm all for freeware development and as grateful for it as anybody else, that kind of display of arrogance really gets up my nose.

If the only reason you run a forum is to receive the "well done" comments, then it's my opinion that you shouldn't be running one at all. To lock and delete posts for simply asking a question they presumably don't have an answer to, is nothing short of disgusting. Angry

The answer with this, as in most things related to forms of communication, is vote with your feet. If they treat you badly, don't return.

Now I've vented, I'll go have a lie down in a dark corner.  Grin
