Hey!!!
I wasn't sure where I should post this message so I posted it here.
I would like to create my own splash screen, I have a template and I also have an image and a the splash screen randomizer, what do I need to do?
When I save the splash screen as a regular *.bmp at 600*800 it appears brown....

Thanx,

Liran Bar, Israel

You need to convert it to the right format Wink

If you have pro edition, load up the imagetool.exe program and convert your bmp file to 16-bit (555). Save it as 'dlgsplash.bmp' in your "FS2002\uires' directory

If you've got standard version, I don't know what to tell you. There might be little utilities that do the the conversion for you, but wouldn't know

Well andrew I have the standart version...
there is DXTBMP but for some reason when I convert it to 16 bit (555) it resizes the image to 1024*1024...

I think you can download a free Gmax here:

http://www.discreet.com/products/gmax/

(That's where imagetools is.)
