Calling Scania, Woody & Whitey...........! Are you guys watching Channel 4? They're recreating the Dambusters raid using Just Flight's CFS2 software.

I seen it first!!!
May I add that I think there using a mixture of CFS2 CFS3 and FS2002. Somehow the flak didn't look CFS2 at all...

OK, I admit my mistake. From what you guys told me I thought it was only for CFS2.
I recorded part 1 so watched it again carefully. The panel & scenery are definitely FS2002. Not sure about the flak though.

Thanks for the heads up Doug, I'd actually bothered to read the T.V. listings for once and actually remembered to watch it! - I made a point of being home last night.....
I must admit, I was wondering about the software Just Flight were using in that sim, I think , at guess its probably a heavily tweaked "special" i.e some code written specifically for Channel 4 and their production team.
I was quite amazed that (unless I missed it!) there seemed to be no reference made with regard to the Dambusters pack FS2000 or CFS2 surely a chance for just flight to gain some T.V. advertising!
Oh, one other little snippet, anybody notice when the crew went leaflet dropping, just as they were about to ditch, I noticed an Upkeep mine still attatched to the belly of the Lanc! ???
Roll on part #2

saw it, I don't think the modern crew will be able to do it though

Hi Paul. Glad you saw it along with most of the others.
Before checking the Just Flight site I hadn't realised their addon is compatible with FS2002. I know you, Whitey & Woody have FS2002 & wondered if any of you have tried it? I would be interested to know what new effects, if any, they used & if the Upkeep mines can actually be dropped as in CFS2.
I'm sure the software has been slightly modified for the the TV programme. For example, things like engine failure & wind direction can be controlled from outside the actual sim like the real simulators. Even so, I suspect the standard version gave them the idea of making it in the first place.
They did mention Just Flight developed the software but I missed the credits at the end of the programme. There might be difficulties making too much of their part in it as M$ would come into the picture. If they did give full credits to both it would be a great advert for FS. IMHO

The dambuster pack in FS2002 only enables you to fly the planes unfortunatly. So no effects, no dropping bombs etc. inless of course some one knows somthing i dont...
