this has just started happening out of the blue!......when i have sound turned on my a/c(allaircraft incl default) stagers like really low frame rate im mean REALLY staggers,but when i turn sound off,all is well evan with my more graphic hungry a/c! why would this do this all of a sudden? iv had 98/2k and 2k2 for 2 yrs now and never had this prob b4! its got me stumped... ???
pls help as sound is a big part of the exp as we all know..

tx for adv,iv had a faliure come up in the directx diag sound tab test it said: faliure at step 3 (direct sound create):HRESULT=0x80004005 (generic faliure)...i dont know what i have to do now though?

you can try going to MS's site and download and install DirectX 9.

Every great once in a while I had that problem. Usually restarting my computer, or re-installing the drivers from my sound card fixed it
