"Angular bombs" problem (Read 509 times)

Hi all

Mick's been working on converting planes to CFS2 and has come up with a new problem concerning bombs changing from nice and curved to square and boxy when they're selected for dropping.

Very very bizarre.

He reckons it may have something to do with the DP file when adding multiple guns, say forward and backward firing machine guns.

Any ideas out there?

What you are seeing is the multi-res modelling of the bomb. The angular bomb is a lower poly count model designed for viewing from longer range, this saves framerates.

Using some of the available add-on weapons packs can correct this...but at a cost in framerates. This is especially important for planes that carry weapons exposed, the more weapons visible the lower the framerate.
