I have downloaded the 757-200 full pack Delta livery.  At first the gagues would not appear and the default lear jet panel came up.  I reloaded the panel file and now the gauges appear and work OK, but with a black back ground and no cabin or outside view.  The pan view shows the 757 and sounds etc are all fine.Help!!! ???

It sounds like a problem with the panel.cfg.

You can get that effect if windows are trying to open in insufficent screen resolution (a lot of panels recommend 1024x768) or in the wrong position. I've known it happen with incorrect co-ordinates for gauge placement too. The other reason could be that either there's a bitmap missing or one incorrectly named in the panel.cfg.

I don't have that particular d/load but if the panel.cfg isn't too big, perhaps you could post it in here. If it's huge, feel free to e-mail it to me at fstipster@hotmail.com and I'll see if I can spot the problem.

Jerry. Which 757 is this? I naturally thought you were referring to Ric Barker's latest one but the only Delta versions I can find are in the FS2000 or FS98 sections. It sounds like the panel.cfg is aliased to a FS2000 default converter panel. If so, try re-aliasing it to use the default b737_400 or b777_300 panel.
http://www.simviation.com/lair/aliasing1.htm

I can't explain the black background but FS2000 aircraft rarely have a virtual cockpit or interior views.

Is the filename 'dl2000fp.zip'? It's a Delta airlines B757 available at Flightsim.com

ok...LOL...before I spend the next week rooting through all that, check in your panel folder and tell me if you have a file there called: 767_3d.bmp (Check that the spelling is identical).

If so, right click it and find the file size. If it's under 1mb, please e-mail it to me.
