Hi guys,

Here it is, your new 757-200. I uploaded just now so it should be available as soon as the library is updated. Enjoy  Wink

It comes in 3 flavours so far, BA, UA and a paint kit, see the readme for details on how to proceed on that one.

Ready to go.
...

Dynamic wing view.
...

Dynamic shine on the wings - not just the fusealage.
...

Around it's home - Boeing field.
...

Smoky landing.
...

Engine detail.
...

Slats and engine.
...

Thanks to all of you at these forums that helped - you know who you are, thanks to Felix, Chris Loomis and Brett Henderson for helping me with the Beta and FDE.

If you DL it, and you like it, hate it, of have any comments, email me at the address in the readme!

Stunning job!!! Shocked

That's the first add-on aircraft I've seen that really gives the Meljet 757 a run for it's money. Wink

As yet I have no P+W version planned, as I had no access to a P+W powered bird at the time. This may change in the future though.

Hi Joet,

I'm glad you like the model.  Grin

OK, as far as opening the radome goes, it seems many of you are having problems with this. All I can say is this:

The opening Radome is mapped to "Cargo Door", so whatever you use for opening the cargo door on your sim should work.

That's the best visual model model I've seen, free or payware.. There may be others that are "technicaly" more complex, but for capturing "reality",,well, it just looks "real"....I'm still speechless when I load it and look it over.

I love it. As soon as I get my g/card probs sorted, I'll download it. You seem to have everything just right, such as the right amount of reflectivity on the "shiney bits". Not many get this right.

Johnathon,
'Newest files' section in the SimV downloads.

Ric,
Great job! I already have good 757 sounds and custom panels so this completes the package. Thanks again.

Where did you get the great mountain scenery forBoeing Field? It's not the default (is it?!)

Thanks!

Awsome job but I am getting awful framerates!. I have got a high end PC including TI 4600, 1 GB DDR RAM and P4 2.8. I get on average of 9-12 FPS.
THis problem is not happening on anything else I have ever used. I get 25-30 FPS with FlightCraft A340 and that is a much more sopisticated model!.
It is such a nice plane you have made but is there any way you could reduce the polys to make it more 'playable'.

Thankyou!, carry on the great work.

Peter,

I'm aware that it's avery high poly model - it's explained in the readme file.

As for making a low poly version, that requires a complete redesign, so it's not something I have the time to do.

However, having said that, my computer specs are similar to yours, and I get 30-45 fps all the time.

I would make sure you check you have DX9 and 40.72 nVidia drivers - these seem to work bect in FS2K2 (for me anyway).

This is the first message I've got about poor framerates, (I thought I was going to get alot, I got 602 emails today!) but it doesn't seem to be that much of a problem for most users, most with a lower-end PC than yours. I would reccomend making sure you have all your setting optimized for FS.

Try www.guru3d.com and www.futuremark.com for help and tips.

Hope that's of some use to you.
