Logging Flying Time (Read 527 times)

GrinJust wondering how many Sim flyers log their flying time. and how you do it?  I log all my planned trips using "flight planner" as normal (time of trip that is included) and include all my "off the cuff"  flights using time from takeoff to landing.  I log them by aircraft I am flying and keep a running total of all times I fly, planned or "otc".  How are hours logged in real time (take off to landing"? or does  "prep time in the cockpit count" Grin Grin Grin?  It would be interesting to know how many hours regulars on SimV are logging.  Using the "honour system" of course would be the only way.

Personally, very few at the moment  Grin.

I don't generally bother but I'm logging my flight time in my RTW flight. It's measured from the time I actually leave the ground to the time I land and doesn't include taxiing.

All done off the clock on my wall. Smiley

When I got heavily into it in Dec. I started keeping the automatic log.  From what I can see it only keeps track of actual air time and you can't double your time by speeding up the sim.

Sad to say but you'll realize what a (lack of) life you have.  I have 160 hrs since 12/8/82.

Settings\General - check Log Flight Time

The log is buried in \flights\myflts\logbook.log so I just put a shortcut into my root directory.
