Check out The Legendary 727 v1.2 at Captain Sim (http://www.captainsim.com), it's amazing! Downside is it costs approx. $30.00, but believe me, it's worth it! My other favorites are any aircraft from FSD (http://www.fsd-international.com). These also will cost you, although not as much for each plane, but I feel these are some of the best add-ons available. They also have a great T-38 Talon that is free-ware, and it's no slouch. If you don't already have these, then I hope you like them.

The jumbo and triple 7 (available here http://www.meljet.com ) have the best visual model I've seen in a long time... Or ever, for the 747 and 777.

Okay, so Project Opensky's 747 has a slightly better visual design, but meljet has the greater FDE..

Keep out of IMC in VFR,&&Tim

I personally like the Wallis auto-gyro that is available here in the misc. section. Its fun!!!! And free!
Otherwise there are a couple of nice Spitfire models, XIV and V in vintage, and some lovely new helicopters have recently been released too.

PS. How is fatherhood Eric?

Check out Flight1.com for great aircraft addons.

Also, Carenado.com.  These are all payware sites, but worth every penny.

Not to mention all the great stuff here and at avsim.com.

Do a search for the Gmax Pitts, almost anything by Mike Stone, Project Opensky, and IFDG.

Hey Eric,

How's it going?

This g-max concorde is a very definate!

http://fsfrance.free.fr/Mach2/Download.htm#base

I love it, virtual cabin and all, the only problem is that it chews frames, but that won't be much of a problem if you have a good cpu.

And also, if you want better asphalt textures, darker ones, I made some a while back, look in the scenery section here, go a few pages back, I think that they are much better than the default ones.  I'm not bragging, I'm just giving you ideas.

You should also get the sea textures from avsim, run a search for ocean.sfx.zip, oceanfx.zip and oceantx, in the file library, You have to download 2 of the 3, I can't remember which ones, run the search then see.  They're much better than the default ones.

If we are talking about scenery addons, check out calibersoftware.com and get the weather maker.  Couple that with the FS Clouds or Sky.

A really fun plane to fly and looks good visual is Project Open Sky's C-17 Globemaster III with the added sound file.  Shocked! The cockpit sound effects are really great! However Project Open skies web site isn't currently offering this download. The C-17 in simviation for FS2k2 is a commercial model, the millitary version are much cooler. You can get the millitary version at AVSIM.com. But I think your out of luck on the sound file so you get the default sound file. Angry! But it is still a good plane.

It's my favorite!
