I'm sure this subject was already brought up in past threads however I am asking again just to make sure. I suspect the my present copy of FSX Acceleration is defective as it won't load in my new PC. So I'm planning on buying the FSX Gold but it the requirements it only listed WinXP and Vista. Is the FSX Gold compatible with Win7 Ultimate and Win 8 also?

Duh! I found out what my problem was. I was trying to load the FSX Acceleration but it would not load. So I thought that the disk may be defective. But then from another source, I was suppose to load the FSX DeLuxe disk first and then load the FSX Acceleration. One more question: You think it would justify the cost ($29.99) just to buy the FSX Gold Edition which has the SP1 and SP2 and Acceleration? If it there is no benefit to it I"ll just load the Deluxe and the Acceleration disks I have and leave it at that. But then there may be some FSX update that I should have.

No point buying Gold if you have Deluxe & Acceleration because SP2 is included in Acceleration.

No point at all. FSX Gold is FSX Deluxe + Acceleration in the same package.
