Hi all.

I just bougth and downloaded one of Orbx products, the northern rockies, for FSX. When i run the unwrapper and the installer, everything seems to work, but when the install wizard is done, and the FTX opens, and i i double click the "north america" button to make it an active region, an error occurs and i am told something like:
A part of C:/program files (x86)/microsoft games/microsoft flight simulator x/orbx/scripts/backup/default.xml' was not found.
When i run FSX the scenery does not seems to have been installed at all.

Then i just tried to manually add the files in the addon scenery folder and active them in the in-game scenery libary, and that seemed to work, at least it activated some new ground texture and mesh and airport scenery in the game, but there is a colossal loss of autogen buildings and trees, and many places the scenery seems incorrect and uncompleted. so i know that is not an alternativ way to install it.

Any help would be SO MUCH  appreciated as i am about to EXPLODE as i have unsuccesfully tried to make this work for the most of the day.

Many thanks in advance!

You should try the OrbX support forum. It's your best bet Wink

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

First of all, installing your FSX in the c:\Program Files (x86) was not a very good idea.
Secondly, you should try to reinstall the OrbX product (after deinstalling it). Next time you install it, right click on the installation program and choose "Run as administrator". This *might* save you some trouble.

Problem fixed. Turned out to be an aged version of the Orbxlib patch. Just downloaded the latest version and now the scenery works just fine. Finally! And with thanks to the supporters in the FTX support forum!
