Bingo! My thoughts on most "NASA" aircraft. NASA claims they did the research but upon closer inspection you realize about all they contributed was their logo. Roll Eyes

The Blackbird/LASRE experiment for instance. Lockheed built both, and mounted the LASRE on an SR-71 that just happened to have the NASA logo on it.
