You can get almost any aircraft in a freeware version, but just about all are lacking in more than one area., No working FMS, unrealistic default panels poor graphics..etc. what planes would like to see payware versions of?

For me, there's a shortage of Turbo-prop liners..I'd love to see a Saab 340, or an EMB-120..PMDG supposedly had a Dash8-100 in the works, but shelved it.

How about you?

There's a shortage of turboprops as FSX cannot simulate the workings of a turboprop engine very well (if at all). Some developers have created work arounds to try and mimic how a turboprop functions (eg Carenado with the C208 and C90) however they still don't quite compare to the complexity of managing a turboprop engine.

I personally don't like payware because I can't afford it. Grin
And because there are some AMAZING freeware aircraft out there, the damage and wear mods, the basler, the rolus mirage which I got from some 'unwanted' link...

The funny thing is.... Wink...

I have never had a particular yearning to purchase any Aircraft, or Scenery, in all my years in the Flight Sim department!

Although I can well afford them, everything I want/need is adequately catered for in the wonderful World of; Freeware!.... Smiley...!

The only things I ever purchase are specialist Utilities, such as FS Panel Studio, FS Navigator, LAGO and Abacus scenery designers, and similar utilities, which are vital for my needs, and not available as Freeware.

I don't yearn for absolute; "perfection" in any Aircraft models, and the very clever Freeware designers fulfil all my desires!....Smiley...!

Many thanks to them!

Paul.... Cool...!

One plane I would love to see anew in FSX is a proper ATR model. The Flight1 ATR is great systems wise (as expected for a model developed with the full support of the manufacturer) but its visuals are sadly today looking a bit dated considering it was an FS2004 port.

An upgrade of that would be perfect, just a new or updated VC and exterior model to take into account new system capabilities. the systems are already all there and don't need touching.

I love payware. There's not much on my wish list at the moment mainly because I only buy from certain developers. Carenado, Alabeo, A2A and Aerosoft for planes and Orbx/FTX for scenery to be exact. Plus I get most of my payware for 'free'. Since I don't accept money for work (beside my regular job), people are glad to buy me some 'toys' every now and then.

I have posted this many times but here we go again... Grin

DeHavilland of Canada DHC-3 Single Radial Engine (P&W R1340) "Otter".

In all mods....
-Wheels
-Wheel/Skis
-Floats
-Amphibious Floats

In Royal Canadian Air Force Livery.
In several Ontario (Canada) Civilian Liveries like...
....Austin Airways
....White River Air Service
...just to name a couple
In Ontario Department of Lands and Forests Livery
In United States Army Livery

If they want to include the Single Turbo Engine Otter or the 1000HP Polish Single Engine Otter that would be great also.

Since many Single Engine Otters have been outfitted with Glass Cockpits, both types of cockpits would be most welcome along with a good GPS...

Several other ideas would be:
-inside passenger seating configuration
-inside cargo configuration
...summer...outboard motors...camping gear...4 wheelers
...winter...snowmobiles...fuel drums...etc.
-paratrooper configuration...drops from Port Side
-amphibious float and float version shown with boat and
  canoe attached

There is talk now of placing the DeHavilland of Canada Single Engine DHC-2 "Beaver" and the Single Engine DHC-3 "Otter" back into production as there is nothing to replace them.

Doug...

Flying off, on another tangent again... Wink...

I wonder what it is about those old Pratt and Whitney Radial engines, which still excites the DeHavilland, etc, manufacturers, to encourage them to fit them in modern Aeroplanes?

They must be a nightmare to purchase, maintain, repair..and keep warm in cold (Alaska+Canada) climates!

It cant simply be; "Nostalgia"?... Roll Eyes...!

That is what I got from the comment as well... he gets the payware as gifts.

Correct. I do a lot of work for friends and family. Gardening, rebuilding bathrooms/kitchens and stuff. I think it's stupid to ask money for things you do for friends/family. Some of them (not all) insist on giving me something in return. I just send them a link to a payware product I like and suggest they buy it for me. I'm happy, they are happy. Case closed.

Good morning Paul... Grin

That would be nice if they did add a new Radial Type Engine on them but I do believe they will be using PT6s or some other Turbine which really changes the look of the aircraft considerably.

With the help of this little unit which has been in use longer than I can remember, Oil Dilution Switch on aircraft, engine and wing covers operating in cold climates is a breeze.... Smiley

Ta for the links, Doug... Wink...!

The old Beaver certainly looks very different with a P&W PT6 turbine motor fitted up at the pointy end!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_Havilland_Canada_DHC-2_Beaver

But maybe makes more sense in the cold Northern climates?

But Harrison Ford's* DHC-2, with its Wasp Junior motor, still loves his to bits!**... Kiss...!

I do a lot of that too, help friends and family. I don't expect anything in return, but if they suggest and insist on some sort of payment, I let them know about paywares I've had my eyes on and they can choose whichever one they'd like to "offer". Works for me and works for them  Wink
