Before anyone gets in to advertise their favorite aircraft/scenery/special addons, what I'm asking for here are downloads that increase the functionality, environment, or system resource efficiency of FS9.  We all know about things like FSUIPC and things covered in this thread, but I'm looking for enhancements that transcend the obvious and are lacking in advertisement.  If you want to post on this, please keep all recommendations FREEWARE.  It doesn't help anyone to click link after link and find nothing but payware. Wink

Of course, if this has already been covered, or is extraneous, please feel free to tell me to go *click* myself and try another thread. Grin

Ignoring the above post....

Travis, would this qualify?

This is the Silver Wings mod, it totally re does the autogen and terrain tiles, be aware that it does not match reality very well, but it makes the environment for us low-VFR fliers absolutely fantastic. With this mod forests actually look like forests with an abundance of trees!

Hi!

I remember from Fs9 there were many good reduced-size autogen and cloud textures available back then.  I don't remember who did the autgen but clouds were I think by FSP or FPS and a guy called Chris Willis who went on to work for ActiveSky I think.  Also Chris Willis I think released some pretty cool night light replacement textures which looked less in-your-face than the default Fs9 and were available in Sodium yellow or a Reddish tint for Europe.

Sorry I don't have the links but can look if interested!

Many thanks,

Pierre
