The guy who uploaded these isn't claiming credit.

They are textures only files .. I'll delete them if this connection stays up long enough ....
Whilst i am not disputing that, the standard of documentation included with the DL can best be described as very sparse. If the texture files are recognised as my work (
or franks!)and then are downloaded, the standard of docs etc could possibly disuade any further downloads of my work, call it tainting if you like.
People may not recognise the uploader, only where they have recognised the work before.
I know this sounds like copyright spiel from a contract in the business sector, but i do not wish to be associated with badly put together files of my work that could possibly stop further downloads of current or future output.
Credit or not, unless permission is stated within a readme that the file can be modded / uploaded by endusers, then you must assume that permission is not forthcoming unless expressly implied.
I have not given anything like that in my files, and i think i can speak for Mr. Safranek when i say that i have never seen such permissions in his files either.
Whether texture files, a new model file, sound folder, scenery or complete package, they are someones work that is
shared with the community at large.
If someone edits my files, uploads them and they harm someone's computer, the poo-storm would be aimed at me, hence no permission is authorised for anyone else to upload my work, as only i can guarantee the integrity of files i upload.
I have no control over possible harmful effects because of someone else's possible actions.
