Hello all,

I downloaded the new planes and they are in the folder with the other aircrafts that came with the sim. They don't come up on the list to fly.Is the computer not letting me run these files because it doesn't recognize who it came from? I also have two planes that came with the sim "goose amphib" and "maule" that do not work at all. I called microsoft and thay told me if I want to fly the two planes I would have to purchase an adventure...??? Any help would be very helpful.

This has been covered here before and there are many reasons for these things to happen. It would help if you post the version of FSX you are running and also the link or name of the aircraft you are trying to install.

Some reasons for aircraft not showing up are forgetting to unzip the downloaded folder first before install, incompatibility with flight sim version, no thumbnail image in the texture folder........

Brett

On the new addons:

You unzipped the download, correct?

Goose and Maul:

As for the Goose and the Maul, what M$ means  buy "purchase an adventure" (and it almost sounds like the guy you talked to was confusing FSX with M$ Flight) is that for those to work you have to have FSX Acceleration or FSX Gold, which is FSX and Acceleration packaged together.

Here is a list of what aircraft are supplied with each version of FSX  http://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=Aircraft_-_Listing_-_Default_Typ...) I also got the Goose and Maule in the Deluxe version.

Edit Sorry the link does not work, you can Google this instead:
