MS has just announced a release date of February 29th here.
They also talk a bit more about the a/c and scenery that will be available at launch and have a video on a/c design.
I'm looking forward to seeing what all MS Flight has to offer, but with no freeware I can't see myself playing it much. Undecided

Hmm, pricing seems about right for Live. I personally thought it would be a bit lower, but lets see the complexity of the final product first...

US price per 100 Microsoft points: $1.187 (based off 1600 points being $18.99)
UK price per 100 Microsoft points: £0.785 (based off 2100 points being £16.49)

Slight decrease in price if you buy them in bulk (as you can only buy them in certain sizes... 100, 400, 800, 1200, 1600, 2100, abc, def, ghi, 4000, etc)

I dunno, 20 bucks for the rest of Hawaii seems kinda steep, imagine what they will charge for North America, and still no sign of airliners/jets so that's disappointing... Undecided Undecided Undecided

Last year I made a topic about guessing the release date, I think my guess was Valentines day. (Feb. 14) Turns out it's a day no one would have thought, Feb 29, which only happens once every 4 years. (Leap year)  Wink

Well I did say that it was a bit more than I had expected, but it does fit in with the other addons for Live. Still no sign of jets, no... But still no sign of no jets either  Tongue

I guessed that it would tie in with the 30 year anniversary, but I couldn't actually find the correct date. Right year though  Tongue

We'll we'll try out the free one and if it's worth it, We'll spend another however much it will cost to buy add ons.
If we want to fly around the world, we'll just have to use fsx/9.
We can't say much for now

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Probably more than a GB for the base package & for the planes it depends how detailed they are.

Things can't be TOO different since the Beta was not out for very long before the release version is happening.

'They' must have some mighty servers, if they release to the whole world on the 29th. I would have thought they would release to different areas in increments. Any way after all the long wait and all the speculation, (It's been fun) I won't be downloading it on the 29th. That's the day I have to wash my hair.

I want to hear more opinions before I download it.  Cool
