It's a closed beta, but it has been released.

All concerned should be getting an email through soon about it.

Not that I would know anything about a beta release  Tongue Wink

No, really. No questions! Shushh!  Cool

Well it looked as if there were people on the forums who had been accepted before me, and there were people joining up much later afterwards. They might be doing it in batches, but keep an eye out on your email over the next few days and see what happens!

Well I will be checking my emails A LOT, and I'm glad there is still a glimmer of hope for me to check out the game before it gets released....and man I hope I can buy a boxed set...it would look pretty next to FSX Gold....  Wink

I'm not saying that I was accepted as a beta tester, or that I've already played the beta, but...  Cool

No, there's no hope, not for Flight, only despair.  Cry

Oh well, back to FSX where there is an ENTIRE PLANET and UNLIMITED AIRCRAFT and SIMULATION and MODDING and WEATHER and AUTOGEN and pretty graphics. ... Not that I'm saying that Flight doesn't have those things.

From reading this thread I had a thought.   So folks that are on the official Beta team.......... a caveat.

Just a thought here, but if you have signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement, please make sure that you are following the terms of that agreement as to what you can say and cannot say.

Posting stuff that should not be posted to the public yet and specifically putting it here on SimV is not really reflecting well on the SimV site.

We are by no means "in Microsofts pocket"........ but it is just the right thing to do at a very basic professional level.  Sort of like NOT hosting pirated payware models and scenery and such.

If you want to get yourself in trouble....  have at it.  Just please keep SimV out of the middle.

best,

.................john

I believe everything here complies with the non-disclosure agreement, not that, for the purposes of said agreement, the agreement necessarily exists. The opinions expressed by myself, at least, are only opinions and do not necessarily apply to any actual experience with Microsoft Flight.

I signed up a while back, and even though I think flight is pretty much a lost cause as a simulation I'm still very interested to see what It's like.
Who knows, its free, and it might be a decent game.
I will, however, be sticking to my good old FSX for all my simming.

Not to try and make it out as if we've not done anything 'less bad', but people have thrown their non-disclosure our of the window and shared all sorts of multimedia of the beta online already. All that is clear is that something exists and people have been selected for it.

All official discussion should remain through the official channels, SimV association or not!

I just checked, and I can say this: About 1.2GB, but it has to go through Windows LIVE, so it takes some decent time.

Microsoft staff and developers are getting onto the videos and other multimedia that has been leaked. It's okay though, we can start to show you some beta screenshots in 5 years when our agreement ends  Grin

It's probably simpler for everyone to wait until it is released, which isn't too long to go!

What are you not understanding? Simviation has specifically asked beta testers to not discuss Flight. If you want to break the NDA, leave Simviation out of it.
