Somebody, somewhere who's interested in flight sim is bound to be attending.  Wink The question is what sort of report they'll write for the rest of us.

Pete probably already has the scoop, and when CES opens is probably when he can let everyone in on it.  Smiley

... correct. Jan 4th I have been given a sheet of info I'm then allowed to disclose ...... At that stage I'll state the facts I'm allowed to state.....

The beta will be out shortly after that and beta testers will then have some hands on experience at that stage too ..

I was on some non flight sim site (http://www.theverge.com/2012/1/10/2697548/microsoft-flight-hands-on-video-ces-20...) , and the general consensus is that it will be a hit.  Of course one of the posters commented that he was using an Xbox controller, so that may be a comment that this was not made for folks like us.  And I think in some ways I am OK with that, it just sucks for us simmers.

An X-Box controller huh ??? well that tells the story right there ,, what about 15 yrs,old and probably never simmed on 2002 pro edition when it was hot or FS 2004  / FSX ??? with full Saitek rudder peddles and a digital flight yoke ! Probably Flight will be a hit for the little Juniors for a while - then again if the wind blows they get excited !!  I'm stickin with FSX for good. had enough of the different file formats and cheap lame scenery , from MS.  I remember all the hoopla and promotion for FSX back in 2005 / 2006 , then ya go and get it and start exploring and what a disaster , painted hanger doors , hardly few any open hangers - bridges that look child like , vehicles that look like they came out of some pre school  and so many empty boring airports with poor hanger locations . Granted the GPS they gave us was way better than in previous version,,, and other small improvements but for all the HYPE and hoopla over it ,, many were disappointed after they got their hands on it and started exploring it ! I look for FLIGHT to be the same way a FEW cool new things , but very Few , hardly worth going out and getting it rifht away only to find out none of your current add on's will most likely not work with it for some reason,,,, it wouldn't surprise me in the least !!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Huh Huh

From the releases, it sounds like joysticks, rudder petals and so on can be used.  As far asw yur faviorite FSX addons, they conpletely ovrhauled the "game" engine from the ground up, and given the emphisis they have put on having to go through MS it buy addon aircraft (and scenery), the odds of FSX addons working is goose-egg-zippo. But I think that has been clear for some time now.
