Well, I decided to do some land vehicle time in my FSX, but all the vehicles I got had pretty poor steering.  So, I tried making my own performance specs.  I typed every single thing myself, by hand, but it came out really strange, with some pros and some cons, and I need any help I can get.
I made it for the Honda NSX by Mitsuya Hamaguchi converted to FSX by daniel rodriguez

Pros:
Engine fires up correctly when started
wheels react
vc appears

Cons:
Once fired, the engine fails out
It pitches slowly and randomly, like some object in outer space.
Custom view I made doesn't appear

other than that I can't tell much else.  If I can please get someone to help and tell me what all is wrong with my code lines.  Since I typed everything and this is my first attempt at this, I don't know how far off it is.

If you have fsx Deluxe or Gold with the sdk, there should be a help file thing. In the start menu go to all programs/ microsoft games/microsoft flight simulator x/Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK & it should be in there. If you don't have gold or deluxe try google searching aircraft.cfg tutorial or something like that. Hope this helps. Smiley

1st: Why are the gear bump values all zero? Those are really important for ground reaction.
Try these instead:

The reson for the gear bumps is because since it's a car, the landing gear doesn't extend or retract, and according to Microsoft, gear bumps don't happen in aircraft with fixed gear.  Here's exactly what it says:

These parameters define the simulated forces transferred from the airframe and gear drag to the stick or yoke when the aircraft’s nose and main landing gear is raised or lowered (cycled). In fixed-gear aircraft this effect won't be felt because, by definition, the landing gear doesn't move. Different aircraft have different gear geometries that result in each of the gear mechanisms starting and ending its cycle at a different time. The timing deltas are brief, typically less than a second between the time that each gear starts and ends its cycle.

Oh well, I guess I should have read the SDK documentation when I started to edit the cfg files... The thing is, 6 years ago they didn't tell much about the Aircraft.cfg file...

the ground bumps have to do with suspension.  And I can imagine, but thank goodness they say a lot now, otherwise I'd have never made this thing in the first place!

I see why the camera views aren't showing up. What kind of GUID is that?!  Shocked

You need to generate a real GUID for EACH camera view with the following tool:

Set the radio button to option 4 and click "New GUID." Then hit copy. Create a new GUID and copy/paste it into each camera view's "GUID=" entry.

Hi Club

Have you actually re done the suspension in the contact points.  That is where the main action is and it can be tricky to get working right. Undecided
