The CEO of Boeing must be like Smiley Smiley Shocked. Cool Grin But hope the plane makes money Tongue.

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

It will.  With 826 orders already, it's not going to take long to be profitable

Except that thest 826 orders are mostly grossly late, owe big late delivery penalties plus perhaps not meeting other specification penalties AND these penalties out of base price for unrealistically low production costs to begin with.

How many orders does 787 have which were sold at a realistic price and where Boeing gets the price for delivery as promised?

Also are they hard orders, or does that include for example the 25 options the company I work for has Huh

If Wiki is to be trusted, there are 349 options, and that number is not included with the 826 orders.

What I'm saying is regardless of the delays and everything else, they still have 826 orders.  That's a lot for an airplane, and I'm sure they'll get more.

The delays mean SQUAT to an airline looking to buy an airplane TODAY,  all that matters is performance, and at least according to Boeing they are meeting or exceeding the numbers they set out to achieve.
