WINNERS, WINNERS, WINNERS

"The winner is......"

RAPTORF22!!

...

"Wow, this is a great shot. The 737 looks fantastic in the Qantas aboriginal livery and right at home in the outback of Australia at Longreach airport, the birthplace of Qantas. I like the creative use of the camera angle and slight motion blur in the background giving the appearence of speed, along with the streaking vortices off the wingtips. A great capture and well deserved."

CONGRATULATIONS RAPTORF22!!!!

"Second place goes to Jetprop!!"

...

"Another great shot taken just after takeoff. The colours in this screenshot are brilliant and add a lot to the atomsphere. I like the lighting on the aircraft which helps it stand out against the background. I'm usually not a fan of the bloom effect but it works well here. The thick cloud coverage add an interesting dramatic effect along with the vortices. Nice work."

"And third place goes to Todayshorse!!"

...

"This screenshot is so simple but that's why I like it. A clever piece of editing add an interesting effect to this shot, the colours on the aircraft are vibrant yet the background appears dull. I'm really liking the special livery on this jet and the detailed airport scenery in the background, even noticed the gate marshalls. Its nice to see FS9 can still hold its own against FSX. And its good to see you back Simon."

Congratulations all, and thank you all for entering!

It was a fantastic turn out this time around, and would be great to see you all again next time.

Tune in for the next one folks, when RaptorF22 will be on the JC bench!!

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

I admit it, not the most creative, but I thought it looked good.

Default scenery, no edits except resizing and cropping to get within both pixel and data size limits.

I know you've already noticed, but the tail matches the landmark. Wink

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

Is that default scenery?

But I WOULD suggest you hit the "modify" button and remove the and tags from the image before you get in trouble. Wink

thanks. Smiley Smiley Smiley
it isnt that hard.
you will be amazed what you can do if you mess around with the soften option in paint.net
and layers are usefull too.
i actualy wanted to use a different one that is going to be in edited screenshots in a while.

can't wait to see it!

its up and i tried to create a realistic one for the one in edited screens not an artistic one.

Wow!  Amazing!  the airplane and rain really jumps out at you! (in reverse that is Grin)

Am I sensing a bit of Paint.NET metallize effect in there?

Thanks, no I dont have paint.NEt... i think it must just be the textures of the Wilco 737 - if you look closely at the model in the sim, i think they're wires behind the flaps.

cheers for the kind words!

I don't say em' if they don't deserve em'.  Wink
Although I'm finding myself doing much more repainting with my spare time and much less time in the forums, on the times I see something good, I'll comment.  If it's not as good, I'll say what's good and maybe give some suggestions, If I don't comment at all, I missed it.

And I had been sensing metallize in the right-side land scenery, not the airplane.

Great job everyone!  since there are 3 diffrent placed winners, You guys know what i said about yours, just read em' again now.  And I really have to say RaptorF22, your shot must be one of the very best if not THE best I've ever seen.  You absolutely blew my shot to bytes and pieces.
