I believe there are many Mexicans living on the West Coast claiming to be Americans... passport or no.
I recall several times in California when we went to Italian restaurants and the accent was more Mexicali than Milan Grin Grin Grin
That said I still miss Taco Bell's Cry Cry Cry

As an Italian I can affirm with no fear of disproof that WE, HERE do not have the foggiest about what in the blazes a Taco Bell is... and personally I'd have some probably some problems eating a BELL anyway, as I find bronze, like a lot of other metals, quite indigestible. Grin

Hard Shell Taco (us. corn tortilla/shell)                                        Soft Shell Taco (us.wheat tortilla/shell)
...               ...
The original were made with the corn tortilla... of course Taco Bell now produces 'Mexican' cuisine in varieties that were never seen in Mexico.

Actually, some that are difficult to chew are needed in smaller amounts in the body whilst the easy to swallow, like mercury, DO NOT do a body good.

Cool

That remembers me of an over-embellished, esoterically filled piadina... Huh

Then again... about esoteric fillings... I'm speaking with people who famously THINK that the best dressing for a pizza is pepperoni of all things (a real blasphemy for every Neapolitan)...  Grin

Though... hmmm... a piadina... and even those taco bells don't look all that bad... getting hungry now... Smiley

Yo quero (sp?) Taco Bell. Roll Eyes  Grin

According to a friend's Mexican wife, most Mexican fast food, like Taco Bell, is not Mexican at all. I think it's Tex-Mex. Regardless, I do love Taco Bell.

But I have eaten some very good authentic Mexican food at my friends and in a couple of Mexican restaurants (not fast food).

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
