Remarkable as this site is, it's amazing there is no way to view the files your downloading,
like ...say...flightsim.com, which I've perused as a non member for years,
allured by their unambiguous downloads!
You make us pay for the privilege of larger bandwidth, yet it is not what's promised.
I live on the West Coast and,
(don't even try to assume my Internet capabilities or PC prowess),
get 300kbs at best! Initially I accepted this for lack of response to my queries, however now I ask for an apology, or if your ego's too large...a refund!!! Angry

FSX, we've come a long way baby! Skunk Works is an official alias for Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Programs (ADP), formerly called Lockheed Advanced Development Projects. Skunk Works is responsible for a number of famous aircraft designs, including the U-2, the SR-71 Blackbird, the F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-22 Raptor. Its largest current project is the F-35 Lightning II

Hi Skunkworks,

File preview has been scripted but as we soon hope to buy a new server our programmer is holding off installing it as he wants to tune it to the new system.

What the hell kind of trip are you on? Ego?
Looking at your post count you have been here a while - why does it seem you are off on some kind of anger trip? What has tripped you?

ALL member enquiries are answered as soon as they are received and I have seen none from you. No exception.

As for download speeds they vary a lot -- I know people who get faster than 300kbps. If we were not delivering what we promise do you think 60% of members would renew? It's a rare PC sim where 60% are still using it after a year.
Do you think our forums would not have regular complaints on this subject?  Nothing is promised that is not delivered. The 'membership' helps to keep this site in existance and is not any sort of profiteering scheme. It will still be several years, if ever, before I break even.

You are a one off disgruntled member. You have decided to cut your ties here. I have tried to find you by email on our memberlist but maybe you used another one? Let me know the email or member username and you'll be the 2nd refund in the past 12 months. Smiley

Pepe! Angry  Have you caused this?

"Non-registered visitors can download only 2 files simultaneously"

It's been a week or so since I've d/l'd anything, but when I try it now, as a 'non express member', this is the screen I get.

This is after downloading ONE file a week or so ago.

I know it's not your doings Pepe........I'm jus' wundern what's up...........express membership drive? Roll Eyes
