i was thinking that the online ATC sessions can be boring for both the ATC and pilots due to a lack of traffic... what if the host ATC can set some amount of AI traffic and the players can set to any amount at the same spot or less on the slider and if you set less AI traffic then the aircraft is there but just not show. the host can select a tower spot to control and then the other areas will be controlled by AI ATC!

Carriers would be so mush easier to land on if they would just stop turning!!!

It's a good concept, but I think we may run into problems with the person with the traffic turned up seeing a player who doesn't have it turned on crashing or morphing into the AI.  Grin

I went outside once. The graphics weren't all that great.

The red marker saying where and what ai aircraft are would still be there... just no aircraft appearing on screen

You just need to have one master machine injecting AI traffic info into the data table for ALL of the people connected... and then a way to get that position data to the individual machines.  It would likely require broadband transmission rates, but it should be doable.  You'd probably have to be tied to "default" aircraft for simplicity.

I think we'd still have problems: Not very many people can guage how long a 747 is when they can't see it... You'd have to be extra careful, and giving away so much room you'd probably block up taxiways...  Grin Cheesy Wink Smiley
