how to get the gates to move into position (Read 1451 times)

hello:  I thought this subject was brought up in another thread I could be wrong.

I just landed at heathrow international stopped at the gate and hope to see the  gate move into position but nothing. could I be I'm at the  wrong gate.

Also you need to be parked right on the numbers, if I remember correctly.

I thought I saw a post on how to move the gates but I do not know where.

thanks for the tips I'll try them out.

also I do fly in free flight and most of the time I need to guess what gate to go to because  I cannot get the tower to speak to me and tell me what gate to go to or that matter how to set up the radio stack so I can here if the tower calls me but even if the tower calls me  theres no way to speak  to the tower. 
for example  my  final approach or getting  clearance for take off or landing.
