Hi Simmers,  My added FS9 KSEA afcad has the third runway, but my ai traffic hardly ever use it, resulting in a backlog of traffic trying to land, and of course disappearing, can the ai traffic be programmed to land on a specific runway to ease the situation, and make full use of both landing strips.     Regards,  Dobermann.

Normally the AI traffic will land on the runway closest to their approach direction.  This leaves middle runways empty.  What you can do is close the runway closest to the terminal for takeoffs (both ends) which will get them using the middle runway for takeoffs, and that will leave the left/right runways only for landings.

Hope this helps,

Thanks  for  your  help  on  this  Tom,  yes, the   way  I  tried  was to  split  departure  areas  to  the  north  and  south  of  the  airport,  then  the  arrivals  will  land  as  you  suggested, roughly  50/50.  I  was  attempting  to  lay  out  my  own  landing  and  parking  spots, fighters  and  heavy  stuff  in  two  different  parts  of  the  airfield,  with  military  aircraft  only,  for  my  own  little  air  show,  succeeded  pretty  well,  but  gave  it  up  as  I  could  not  avoid  the  aircraft  in  many  cases,  from  parking  in  an  occupied   bay,  and  not  going  to  an  empty  one,  no  matter  how  many  spare  parking  spots  I  put  in,  I  had  up  to  half  a  dozen   parking  this  way  which  spoilt  the  illusion, tried  all kinds  of  taxiways  in  and  out,  but  could'nt  master  it,  Anyway,  thanks  for  your  reply  Tom.            Dobermann

If you have arriving aircraft parking into the same parking spot, it almost always means you forgot a red hold short node at the runway exit.

Hope this helps,
