Last night a power cut at our hosting company caused sudden loss of power to our servers.

This cause problems on reboot which meant our programmer had to be brought in to fix things at the root of the machines.

All up now and apologies for the downtime.

... & now I can get a nice cup of something warm and go & fetch my daughter!

Now it seems our treasured moderator Bob has been toasted by the meltdown!

I'll try to find a backup of his account and try to restore -- otherwise Bob we'll get you up and running with a new account. (this happened to Brett too once)

Pete, once again, you and your crew have saved our home away from home and got everything up and running again. Thank you for all your hard work and long hours.

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

I don't know Larry ,But from what I understand this man works alone and deal with this most of the time alone, Of course he has supporting people or personnel programers etc,
But it was 3:30 am I assume was about 1am ,I try t connect to Just the forum and was broken ,I send him and email ,he reply me 10 minutes after telling me he was actually working to fix the problem ,latter all went out ,sites forum etc .
he didn't sleep last night dealing with this (not just the forum ) to bring us simviation ,HJG, and my site back.

this is not the first time Pete work at night any day of the week for us

check this out , when the forums came back minutes latter a guy show a problem in one of the downloads and he immediately responses and fix the problem ,Its Sunday ,see what I mean?

Pete works a lot to gave us something that its free and he's being doing it for a decade or even more

he's humble and quiet ,rarely post something and mostly when its about the site . I can't understand why some guys say BS when they actually bring us a service and its a service that ain't google No one gets Millions for this

That's why I don't move from here..

If I cross any line or its and uncorfortable Please delete my post ,but I need it to express ,HONESTY

Thanks Pete again

i never knew the servers were even offline. But that just goes to show how fast and dependable we have people like PETE working on things to get them back up and running, even if it means sacrificing his sleep and free time to give us this wonderful site.

Like everyone else here, I applaud you pete!  Smiley Exclaim

If there were a way that i could make more money at my job, i would not hesitate to throw a few large bills your way Pete to help out, as I am sure that others would do the same.

THANK YOU!!!!!
