can anyone tell me how to create/add you own photo real scenery.
This is what i wish to do, add photo real scenery to Ireland via OSI.ie(Ordinance Survey Ireland). Is this even possible and if it is  . . . . help please!

Yes it's possible. For FSX the tool I've used is SBuilderX, the 'swiss army knife' for terrain design.

You wiil need the FSX SDK installed. (comes with the Deluxe or Gold versions of FSX)

Download the latest version here: http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=72. The manual sets out the process, but doesn't go into much explaination for a 'new' user.

You can get in detailed help at the author's support forum here: http://www.ptsim.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=22

I have only dabbled in a couple of small 'photoreal' projects, so can't be much help.

Good luck,
Dave

First is to check that 'shp2vec.exe' is at the specified path.

If it is then I suspect it is the security issue running in Vista or Windows7.  Check these 2 topics in the SbuilerX forums for solution(s).

Vista-http://www.ptsim.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=1710

Windows7-http://www.ptsim.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2091

Note: If you're going to re-install SBX as suggested, be sure to remove your current install using the Control Panel>Add-Remove Programs.

Think its the security . . . .  trying something else now.
