I like when models are where they supposed to be ,IN the game , some people thing that modeling is the top of knowing to make airplanes for MSFS that is just the beginning..

Alex

Not sure if you are refering to me Alex...but if you are, just a few points on this remark...
I am and have said that I have NEVER modelled before so  if my level of experience only allow me to render my model at this stage out of the game, I don't see why I can't  showcase my progress just because it is not yet in the game...I have worked hard and am proud of what I have done..even if it is not rendered or animated in the game yet...
I do this because I enjoy it not because I follow a program...yours or anybody elses for that matter...
I have always admired and given positive comments on all your work...just because I am one of those guys who showcase my work in a render..does not mean I "think " modelling is the top of anything...  Angry  Its all I know at this stage...

Do you think you're the only one I would say this ? do you really think is the first time I said this ?
do you have any idea how many I seen with failure airplanes?

No it wasn't for you ,and If was going to tell you I'll tell you in your post no other one post ,
Modeling and 3dmax goes together in this, and I already Told you , I don't repeat things ,I'm old but not that old

I would encourage you to calm down

Wrong.. at least for me ,and that's why I keep like 12 abandon models that one day I might finish them one day and release

You made a general statement  that applies to me as much as anybody else..whether it was meant for me or the thousands that don't do it according to your standards...
I am also one of the people...that has not rendered inside the game where it belongs..so it has everything to do with me!   And I will take a stand for all of the people that are still learning..and failing...as trying is part of life. I am 43 adult, pilot , architect and property developer...I defenitely do not have your experience or skill when it comes to creating addons for this game but then I never claimed to have...

Anyway perhaps I am having too much coffee this morning...best i go take a walk outside..

those were different time Ethan ,that First Citation X that piece of crap you see there ,believe it or not was once the most download it airplanes in 2004 ,today is different ,wayy different ,in that past you could make a cylinder and shape it ahnd if it looks like a f-22 or a harriet you put a 2d panel and that's it
today the model has to be very accurate to real airplane

I'm not saying no ,yes Its important the modeling Yes
BUT
modeling using the less poligon countdown ,we have to make magic to make something looks good and fly well ..
I'm not good at skills ,maybe you better than me ,but your following a road were at the end the chopper won't be able to run in FSX
I'm willing to help you if you want ,you need to calm down ,this is just a pick of the iceberg ,I'm still a learner after all these years ,I learn because others tough me like Milton Shupe or Bill Leaming ..
there' a lot more like XML programing ,making XML parts , gauges, painting ,specular +bumping ,animations , and above all to make it run in FSX/FS9 without problems and smooth

This s a wonderful hobby Ethan ,but very stressful ,I have become mad hundreds of times and I still do ,I wasn't offending you ,believe me there are still who are making and exelent model and they still don't know what is to export ,I seen it many times

your 43  Shocked I'm 45

Grin Grin Grin
don't take too much of that co0ffe

Lol yes I had 3  already..maybe thats why I am so hyper lol...I know my model is just the beginning and that I need to keep in mind the long road ahead..but sometimes one can't help of being proud and wanting to show the world what you did..esp when all i could do a few weeks ago was a square box..and after i'd spend my evening trying and trying to get a shape just right...like you with the shape of the Citation X..it takes hours and hours to get it 100% and then you just want to share it with others that have an interest in the same things...
...thanks for your help at first..afterall you were the one who taught me how to export my first model..

and I got the feeling I will help you with the rest ,

trust me ,when I read you ,I saw myself ,was like looking myself in a mirror, I really understand you Ethan and more than you think,

now try to focus from today in the animation and export ,you need to exports all the parts FIRST into FSX

for what I think the choopers doesn't need too many animations as the airplanes with wing flex animation and spoilers and flaps , in choopers would be Both Rotors the throttle which will twist  both blades , the doors, tires wheel and landing mechanism (I don't know too much about helicopters)

I still got a copy of what you send me ,First center and turn in Top view window in the way the transparent helicoper is

like this

...

second lets export all this into a new thread Ethan Open a thread asking about animation etc then I will take this there ,we also want Others to see and learn  Wink
