Time to refresh the song thread again, part twelve stayed active for a year and a half!!

I'll kick it off with Five Finger Death Punch doing their version of Bad Company (my nickname amongst my troops, and theme song)

Good story behind my nick name, but also the reason I'm not getting promoted any time soon  Cool

Can't go wrong with Bing. And David is very talented. He looks pretty good for his age too, at least in the 2009 picture they used here.

Right on both counts. Smiley

When I was in the chorus in high school, we recorded an album in a local church that had a pipe organ. It was a nice experience.

"Porn Star Dancing"

My Darkest Days

Sexy song for you and your Mrs, sounds great on a big stereo, a very entertaining band, and they almost do it without cursing (one cuss in the whole song)  Still a racy song though, so be warned.  I really love the beat though so thought I would share!

"I Won't Tell You"

Lacuna Coil

Cristina sounds terrific in this song!  Good vibe!

Lacuna Coil is an Italian metal band from Milan formed in 1994.  Formerly known as Sleep of Right and Ethereal, the band was inspired by the combination of gothic imagery and music, and the members have been known, musically, for composing midtempo songs consisting of prominent guitar lines and contrasting dual female/male vocal harmonies to help create a melodic, detached sound. Much of the band's recent material, however, sees a heavier and more down-tuned style, featuring a more distinct bass line and a higher mixing of the guitars within the songs

Cool  Good tune

Bloody Sunday (1972)

Quote:
Bloody Sunday (Irish: Domhnach na Fola)—sometimes called the Bogside Massacre—was an incident on 30 January 1972 in the Bogside area of Derry, Northern Ireland, in which twenty-six unarmed civil rights protesters and bystanders were shot by soldiers of the British Army. The incident occurred during a Northern Ireland Civil Rights Association march; the soldiers involved were the First Battalion of the Parachute Regiment (1 Para). Thirteen males, seven of whom were teenagers, died immediately or soon after, while the death of another man four and a half months later has been attributed to the injuries he received on that day. Two protesters were injured when they were run down by army vehicles. Five of those wounded were shot in the back.

I've found the quality is pretty fair/good/excellent on a lot of the 'Tube stuff.  Your's, for example, is very good to excellent.  I give 'em a pass if it's not up to my very high standards!  I have been a highly practiced audiophile all my life........can't see without my glasses, can't run down the badguys like back in the day, and other assorted old fart stuff.......but I still have exceptional hearing and and am particular to the point of anal about my music quality.

Thanx for the offer but the snipper I have is very good and I have a bud that set me up with a quality thingie for audio files that cleans and enhances.  Sort of like a DBX 3BX spectrum analyzer/enhancer. (Lawdy! I just dated myself even further!)

Anyhoo, thanx again!  Day off today and yesterday sucked so I gotta retire to the lower level for some 'concert therapy'. Smiley

Can't wait to hear your two pieces the way they're meant to be enjoyed........7 speakers at a lot of watts! Cool

Here's one that will throw you off:

Fake Palindromes by Andrew Bird

I caught his Austin City Limits special a few months ago and I'm just now getting around to downloading his music (legally of course) now that I have broadband. Check him out if you like your music a little weird.

P.S. It reminds me a little of Stone Gossards' solo stuff if that helps.

Oh man thank you!  I had heard that song a LONG time ago and liked it but I didn't know the name of the song! I guess I was into aviation long before I ever knew it! Grin
Thanks!

Man that is one of those songs you won't get bored listening to over and over again! Smiley

Steppenwolf born to be wild. This song alone makes me love rock and a few others

Most people think that flying a plane is dangerous, except pilots because they know how easy it is.
Arguing with a pilot is like wrestling with a pig in the mud, after a while you begin to think the pig likes it.

This one's good for a cruise.....

Colt Ford, Dirt Road Anthem

Chuck

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

And now Linkin Park - New Divide

Best concert I have ever been to was seeing Linkin Park in St. Paul.  They put on one great show, just wish Prodigy had been touring with them at the time instead of the Aussie band that was opening for them at that point.

Happy Xmas (War is Over)

So this is Christmas and what have you done,
Another year over, a new one just begun.

And so this is Christmas, I hope you have fun,
The near and the dear ones, the old and the young.

A very merry Christmas and a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one without any fears.

War is over over
If you want it

A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.

What am I listening to/suffering?..

Listening to naff Christmas songs on my radio, television, supermarket, street musicians, brass band, etc, etc, driving me mad, and slowly but surely destroying by brain!... Angry...!

If I have to listen to one more rendering of; "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" sang by Bing Crosby, I will go out side and shoot myself.

Will it never end, I ask myself!... Cry...!

Paul... Wink... Wink... Wink...!

I'm trying to drown it all out with Rolling stones, "Honky-Tonk Women" on U-Tube!... Smiley...
..much more sensible!... Cheesy...!
