lol cheers guys..will finish it today after work.. then its back to finishing the md600..sooo much to do there still (interior) and texture mapping etc.. Wink

That rotor looks amazing.  But by the time you texture all of that, and if you apply the same details to the whole aircraft, ... what are your frame rates going to drop to?
I started out modeling a fairly detailed engine but discarded most of it because it would not be seen in the game, and I started reading about and getting worried about frame rates.

The FPS aren't too bad since the only part that Ethan modeled for us is the tail rotor. We have already tested it in FSX and there doesn't seem to be a performance decrease. The FS9 MakeMDL won't export the model though, as the poly limit was reached. We will be trying a method by Lionheart to see about getting it to export over the limit.
