This will be a bit lengthy.  Open up your aircraft config file for the plane you want to modify.  You will find entries similar to this:

[CameraDefinition.001]
Title = "Right Seat"
Guid = {195EAB58-9E4A-1E2A-A34C-A8D9D948F078}
Origin = Virtual Cockpit
MomentumEffect = Yes
SnapPbhAdjust = Swivel
SnapPbhReturn = False
PanPbhAdjust = Swivel
PanPbhReturn = False
Track = None
ShowAxis = YES
AllowZoom = TRUE
InitialZoom = 0.75
SmoothZoomTime = 2.0
ZoomPanScalar = 1.0
ShowWeather = Yes
XyzAdjust = TRUE
ShowLensFlare=FALSE
Category = Cockpit
PitchPanRate=20
HeadingPanRate=60
InitialXyz=0.5, 0.04, -0.1
<----------------------------

InitialPbh=0, 0, 0
<--------------------------------

HotKeySelect=7
*****************************************
The lines I have highlighted with red arrows are the relavent lines you need to modify.  Here is a trick:  Adjust your viewpoint inside the sim using your ctrl-backspace, ctrl-enter, etc keys.  Then SAVE the sim.  You can then go open up the save flight file in your DOCUMENTS/FSX folder.  You will see that the cameras have all been saved in the last position you left them in.  There will be some lines in there for the given camera (reference it by the GUID) that should specify the X,Y,Z, and rotations.  You can basically cut and paste those lines from their into the appropriate positions I have shown in your aircraft.cfg file.  The Bold "hotkeyselect=number" is an addition you might make so that when you hit that hotkey, it will take you directly to that camera view.

Instead of creating an entirely new camera, the easiest way to do it, is just take an existing camera that you never use and appropriate it for your main view.  Else, you will have to get a "GUID" generator, but that is too hard to explain right now.

Or just spend $30 dollars and get yourself EZCA from Flight 1 Smiley
