1 airport that you control as a gate agent.  (by hitting "S" you change views from the gate counter where you issue boarding passes, to the Jetbridge where you hit "SHIFT+J" and the bridge moves to the plane that is parked outside and the door opens. SHIFT+E, would open the door at the top of the jetbridge.  Shift+E+2, "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.. Flight [randon #] is now boarding First Class"; Shift+E+3 - "ladies and gentlemen, Flight # is now boarding Business Class.
Shift E 4 - boarding coach.            in the background you can see bag tugs move around and planes moving / coming and going.

Then as the plane begins to taxi- you hear a disturbance in the coach seats.  So you press Shift+F+U and you change views to a pissed flight attendant at which point you enable voice control and you cuss out the entire plane full of passengers, steal 2 beers (one in each hand) from the galley, pop the emergency door open, jump out and tear across the ramp, still holding your beers. Cheesy

Might appeal to a wide audience.  Hey it could happen Wink

maybe when you are flying in northern canada you might come across a tu-95 being escorted by cf-18's or in alaska by f-15's

Carriers would be so mush easier to land on if they would just stop turning!!!

I'm thinking of, at a certain time, date, and place, that AI traffic replicates some of the world's air disasters, such as TWA flight 800, or American Airlines flight 191!!! And then have actual ATC recordings of the events that follow.
Maybe even have the space shuttle launch! Tongue
Or have police chases in the ground traffic. Cheesy
Or have ship and boat traffic have their own disasters every once in a while...
Just some crazy ideas... Grin

Being window's "live', M$ could probably "inject" events on certain date, as suggested (Though some air disasters may not be a first choice).  But 'events" such as a team of hypersonic reindeer pulling a sled on Dec 24th.

Also already mentioned was solar and lunar eclipses, but they probably could also inject any new visible comets (and accurate possitions of the five visible planets, six, if you have exceptionally good dark adapted vision).  Beef up the meteor count on nights of known meteor showers, with an occasional fireball.

More UFO's would be kind of fun, as long as it wasn't overdone.

Imagine coming in for a landing at your favorite North West "hunting lodge" bush strip, and seeing a 8 ft tall shaggy biped suddenly dart across the runway, just as the gear kisses the ground.  A moose could be interesting too.  Yikes!   Shocked

The possibilities makes M$ Flight a whole new ball of pudding.

These will never and should never be included with any release of any sim ever.

Though I agree that events of that magnitude and events that specific shouldn't occur, I wouldn't put it past them to make some extreme weather cases. Having to avoid an airport and divert because it's too dangerous to land there (perhaps even hidden beneath snow or water) would be an interesting concept.

Yet again, we'd need trusty ATC to actually tell us that we can't do certain things and to re-route us. Just because I select 'Fly from A to B' does not mean I can actually do it. The ATC should make sure you avoid all the nasty weather patterns, re-route you to new airports and just be smarter and more life like. Instead of saying 'left to 180 land at Y', it should be like 'we have a severe weather warning in your area, as a result we are redirecting traffic to Y. Expect heavy traffic in this area as all other major airports are unsuitable for landing'. I don't know the exact lingo, but a chatty, realistic, personality would be nice!

Understood, Machineman.  Unfortunately, in the real world, ATC doesn't have much to do with that.  Of course, they'll redirect you around the worst weather.  But the pilot in command is expected (also required) to set their route with current weather predictions in mind.  So if you are flying to Rio, and the weather there is supposed to be hurricane strength, you might want to consider landing at an airport a ways away, or taking the flight on an alternate day.

Yeah, admittedly I have very little idea of how the real world of flying does operate, but my main focus is having ATC which actually communicate and are aware of what is actually going on... If you set the transponder to alert them to a problem, they should recognise it. If your aircraft is in trouble, they should try and help you. If you call in, they should (well, some!) say hello/good morning/good afternoon to you.

The ATC is very plasticy. It has a strict method which isn't always true to the real world. More regional dialect would be good too.

Oh, and yeah, easter eggs too  Grin

To me, easter eggs are discoverable events which take some trying to find. For example, if you flew past the tower in an F-14 you'd get 'godd dammiittt' down the radio, or if you were going around LaGuardia you might hear Sullenberger learning to fly in an C172 or something.
Not so much having certain animals around the place (unless they really were not supposed to be there).
