Greetings fellow simmers, I've been flight simming for almost 4 years now, and never really got into multiplayer untill I started simming with FSX. As far as I'm concerned I've have had a wonderful time with the FSX multiplayer brought to you by Gamespy. Sure once in awhile gamespy can get glitchy, but 90% of the time I have no problems logging in joining or hosting.

Now I'm not trying to take away anything from the Sim V Server, it's just that I don't have the ports to open, to be able to get on the Sim V Server Cry.

And also because,( I have my own PC), but I'm tied to my Ol'lady's network, and if I screw up her system, well, you all probaly won't hear from me again! Grin ( I hear some snickering out there)

Other than that, I am working on building my own network and hopefully will be able to fly on the Sim V Server.

So if theres anyone else out there who also can't get on the Sim V,
(and to anyone interested) I have been hosting a session now for about 8 months , on FSX multiplayer , called, "WhyFlyAlone" located in the Fly-Ins lobby. My description reads like this,

  Flywhatever from wherever2wherever/  RADIO a MUST,
Tune radio to COM1 frq:122.90 / I'm LVing KXXX  HEADing2 KXXX /  Need help with FSX, OK!, ATC OK! /  BE an ass, it will be kicked  / SEE ya there or in the AIR!

Fly how ever you like, it's a freeflight type of session, or you can fly with me, or met me at the destination airfield. All I ask is that you be as professional as you can, I'm not a real pilot, but I play it as serious as possible, but not so serious that we aren't having fun.

Also, I fly using radio navigation, I only use the GPS as a note book to look up frequencies, and airfield stats. I fly using my instruments and looking out the windows to not only see the view but to calculate were I am looking out for lakes, towns, rivers, highest peaks,ect. So I really limit my texting to only send out important info, not to have a conversation. So please use your radio if you can, or I'll try to help you to learn how.

Communication is done only over the aircraft (or tower) radio frequencies, the multicom frq is  122.90  this is the frq that will be used for the session , if someone wants to be ATC or tower than you may use that stations channels,(please contact me first so we can coordinate), you can also communicate with other pilots on different frequencies if you want, but 122.90 will be the main.

If you have been having a problem logging in (most likely into the free flight lobby) I belive it is most likely due to traffic on that part of the server, so I always login in the Fly-Ins lobby (you can change the lobby in your fsx cfg under multiplayer if you have trouble logging in):

[MULTIPLAYER]
AccoutUsername=angusmax
condAccoutPassword=0
DefaultLobby=Fly-Ins (or whatever lobby you want other than freeflight)

You still will be able to access the freeflight lobby if you want when you are logged in.

So if anyone is interested I'll be hosting a session today,

Oct. 1st, 2010  at    22:00Z

I'll be leaving  Whidbey Island NAS, AKA, Oak Harbor, WA, [KNUW]

Heading to: China Lake NAWS, CA [KNID]

I'll be flying my trusty Beech Baron 58 that I turbocharged, but use what ever you like.

Well I gotta get going doing preflight ( don't forget to check that weather), So I'll see ya there or in the air! Cool
