Some big news coming out of silverstone today.
Frank Williams is stepping down from his day to day role at Williams, but will still remain team principle.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/85076

Bruno Senna is to be replaced by Sakon Yamamoto for the race weekend and possibly beyond.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/85082

Safety car rules made even more confusing, especially now the human crash machine is back in F1.
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/85072

Not much to say about the safety car.
The stepping down of Williams is not a huge surprise, it'll be good that he will remain on though, now if only Patrick head and Sam Michael would just p*ss off and Williams might finally have a chance.

As for Senna, its a bit of a shock considering the marketing value of his name. But he hasn't exactly set the world on fire, and Chandok has appeared much more comfortable in the car. I could see him being picked up by another team in 2011

Making drivers slow down to the actual estimated speed of the safety car itself......Actual estimated, what is that for a statement. It is either actual or estimated Roll Eyes And when estimated it is open to a mass gathering of F1 team lawyers all queuing at Charlie Whiting's door all saying why their respected driver should not have a drive through and in the case of Ferrari, why everyone else should have a drive through Grin
They would be better off making drivers at the start of a safety car drive back to the pits on the pit lane limiter.........at least then they would all be doing a set standard speed Roll Eyes

As for Senna, probably saw what Ralf did and thought he could make a buck or two before being dumped.............at least Ralf lasted more than a season though Grin Grin

I've quickly learned, to just start with 3 out of 4 different drivers, and then adjust them as necessary after p2 or p3.

Looking at everyone's picks, I think I see a pattern developing.

I'll be a bit upset if I don't pick Vettel, and gets his second straight win here.  Grin  Wink

Because that person is Sakon Yamamoto. Only one rung higher than Yuji Ide in terms of crash magnets.

I love how Alonso stares continuously at the Red Bull cars after qualifying, thats the second time I've seen him do that. Can only imagine what's going through his mind.

Redbull should walk this, right up to turn 1 where they are going to take each other out again. It's going to be absolutely fascinating to watch what happens because, Webber seems more focused on Vettel than he does the actual race.

I know, isn't it fun to watch?  Someone should place a flaming bag of dog crap on Marks doorstep so he'd blame it on Vettel. Grin

This is where we discover that getting the qualifying order right, will cost you more points than that 5 point bonus is worth.  Tongue

You can almost just see the point at which Fernando's head may have popped off.  Grin I dont like the guy, but I do feel sorry for the guy, two races in a row he's been screwed over.

Something I have noticed from watching the BBC post race forum. Murray Walker has slipped back into presenter mode perfectly. For a man of his age he is still so in control of his facultys and his memory is still so sharp. I know people give him grief for his mistakes, but that was purely excitement, and I for one would give my right arm to see him come back full time and replace Legard in the commentary booth..

CONSPIRACY!  The FIA is out to get Alonso.

Vettel goes from 1st to last to 7th.  Wow!  He might deserve a penalty for that contact with Sutil, but I would have to see it again.

I just heard Mark's radio transmission after the race:
"not bad for a number 2 driver" Shocked

Good point, but he will not be doing himself any favours making remarks like that. Magnanimous in defeat also works in victory. He should be taking the high ground if he wants the support of the press and fans. Publicly putting down your employer regardless of the reason always has come backs.
