I am trying to upgrade my machine and need to look at this stuff for my own use... so I thought I'd put the information I find from talking to the manufacturers here in one place.  This information will focus on simpit hardware and software....not general flight sim stuff.

First direct response:

Multi Crew Experience

It is designed for multi-core processors and for Win 7 64 bit.

Second direct response:

FSUIPC 3.984 and WideFS

They will work fine with Win 7 64 bit.  Quote from Pete Dowson: "They are, like FS, still 32-bit programs, but they do not depend upon anything which changes between 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems."

Third direct response:

Hagstrom Keyboard Encoders

Will work with Win 7 64 bit but...... "Your KE72's should work on your Windows 7 machine. Make sure that the PS/2 port is an actual standard PS/2 port. There are newer PC's that have PS/2 ports but internally they are basically a PS/2 to USB gender changer. While even these types of ports would work receiving keystrokes from the KE72 unit, they would not work for programming the KE72."

best,

.................john

FS2004 installed and running fine.

FSUIPC installed and running.  All is well.

Multi-Crew Experience installed and initial testing done.  make sure to run as administrator on the install.  Seems to work slick as heck.

Flight Sim Commander 8 installed and initial testing seems OK.

World of AI Installer installed and working great.  Make sure to run as administrator and run in compatibility mode for XP SP2.  All packages seem to work fine.

EditVoicePack installed and initial testing seems OK.

AI Traffic Mover 2 installed and working OK.  Make sure to run as administrator and in XP SP2 mode.

best,

Futurepilot,

It is hard to describe the breadth of things that the paid version of FSUIPC can do.

The best thing you can do is go look at the SDK information.

It can fix your flight controls to work beter.

It can map functions that are not normally availabe to keypresses.

It can make your weather more realistic.

It can make your flight dynamics more realistic.

It can allow you to hook up switches to cockpit controls.

It can make the bed, wash the floors, and cook dinner.  Wink

Check it out.
