Well I was wrong the Wings ended up pulling it out. Watched the first, and third period of the Avs game. A somewhat stressful game to watch, Patrick Kane was just flying by the Avs defense all night which was worrying me. In Overtime both the Avs and Blackhawks only got 1 shot off.

Ended in a 9 round shootout with the Avs lossing.  Cry
On the bright side we get a point for going into overtime.
Avs (2-1-1)

Avalanche beat the Bruins 4-3. Was a 2-0 game until the Avalanche blew it in the start of the 2nd period. Then the Avs rolled on to make it a 4-2 game and finished 4-3. I couldnt watch because im at school but I had been updating my phone alot.  Cheesy

Avalanche move to 3-1-1...1 point behind Calgary! Play Toronto tommrow and feeling pretty confident about that game since they are 0-3-1  Wink

Well the Avs of course killed the Maple Leafs 4-1.  Smiley
Moving the Avs record to 4-1-1. Thankfully Calgary lost today (by the blue jackets  Cheesy)moving Colorado into a tie fisrt.  Cheesy

The wings got MURDERED by the Sabres. Im feeling very confident when the Avs play them that they will win.  Wink

Avalanche v.s. Montreal on Thursday but we should win with Montreal being 2-3.

Shocked  Yeah they did, I think they lost their groove, but then again, the year we won the Stanley cup we had a 7 game losing streak early in the season...so no worries yet.

Them Blue Jackets seemed to have found their groove  Wink

Roll Eyes Ill be bored to death to see either the Red Wings or the Penquins in the Stanley Cup AGAIN. And I dought it will happen...although the Wings team is very old. In 5 years from now I can see them not doing so well because there big stars are reaching retirement which is why they should start the process of younger players.

Youngest team in the NHL right now is the Blackhawks and they are good so they will be the team to beat for the next 5 years at this rate!  Shocked

The Hawks are definitely a prospect, but the Wings aren't THAT old, remember we have Zetterburg for another twelve years, and with some good leadership we can mold a few strong rookies.  We'll see what happens.  Too early yet, and it's going to be a messed up season with the Olympics and all that.

I'm not predicting any Stanley Cup finalists yet, too early with too many rookies looking for their place on the ice, but I do see the Jackets and the Hawks going far, and the Avs seem to be holding their Division, and I think the Wings will pull through and at least make strong approach.

If the Wings aren't showing any signs of strength by mid December I'll start worrying...until then, there is a lot of hockey to be played.  Cool

True, it is to soon to say whos going to make the playoffs or not. Im happy with how the Avalanche team has started and hopefully this will continue we are scoring a very good amount of goals everygame and keeping goals from going in our net. The defense just allows to many shots on net which isnt good.

I hope the Avalanche can get 2nd in their division and a playoff spot.  Cool

Also the young star Matt Duchene is still goal-less  Undecided, im hoping he can score tommrow he's got some great moves for an 18 year old I see him doing very well in the future on the Avs Cheesy

He's only 18, while most NHL stars are in their 30's  Grin  He has time, give him time to get his groove on.

Grin Yeah true, its pretty amazing that he's 18 playing on line 2  Shocked. I dont think we will be seeing any Crosby's or Ovechkins anytime soon it seems like they were the best rookies ive ever seen.
