Works fine for me.
...

Please try again. What you're doing is moving the gauges from the Guages folder in the downloaded zipfile into your FS2002 main Gauges folder.

Select All then Cut. Paste into FS2002\Gauges.

There are 54 files in that Guages folder. Paste them all into the FS2002 Gauges folder but do NOT overwrite existing files if prompted.

You're obviously pasting them into the wrong location. They go into the main FS2002 Gauges folder with all the default gauges.

It's way past my bedtime & I'm tired. I'll be here tomorrow if you need me.

I'm glad you fixed that anyway.

I have no idea. Can you direct me to an example.

Not all aircraft will have their own gauges. Some panels use default gauges & others are aliased to use the panels of default aircraft. You might like to read my Aliasing article. http://www.simviation.com/lair/aliasing1.htm

http://www.fsfield.com/viewfile/534.html

pls look in to this file
c there is no aircraft folder
it says only model without definition
do we have to rename it and place it into container file for FS2002 ?
same applies to effects etc files - again do they goto effect container files in FS2002 ???

thx

It looks perfectly normal to me.

...

This might depend on the utility & method you use for extracting zipfiles. Please try my method. Right-click on the zipfile & select Extract All. Follow the Wizard by clicking Next twice & then Finish. Leave it on the default settings. You should now have a folder with the same name as the zipfile sitting next to it in your download folder.

Yes. Use the same method as for the gauges. Paste the contents into their corresponding folders in FS2002.

its a peculiar logic
y is there no one method for all
y every creator of these aircrafts go tangent and apply their own  method???
what about sound & texture files
y dont we move their contents to their FS2002 container files ???

The utilities & methods you use are a matter of preference. This has nothing to do with the addons themselves.

I was hoping you would be getting the idea of this by now. All FS aircraft are basically configured in the same way, a "container folder" directly containing the familiar Model, Panel, Sound & Texture sub-folders - like the highlighted folders in my screenshots of the B-52 & F-104. These sub-folders must stay exactly where they are or it wont work.

Any extras like effects & gauges files are usually found in folders with the same names as those in the FS root directory. Install the files by pasting them into their respective folders.

I checked the panel & sound folders of the F-104 & both are aliased. The sound is fine but Panel.cfg will need editing as described in my Aliasing article for it to display on the FS2002 aircraft selection menu.

That's just the way things are. Nothing can be done about it now.

I don't know what you mean by "elevation files". If you read the instructions the F-16 requires a panel to be downloaded separately. The link is in the file named f-16 panel download info..log Please read it carefully.
