Got the FSXpand server and client up and running for a test.  Here is an image of the gauges running in the MIP.

...

PS:  Gotta keep an eye on the number 4 engine!

Here below is another test of a CONCEPT that I want to try to implement in FSXpand somehow.  I can paste this into the bitmap background of the gauges that currently allow bitmaps for background images ........... which would allow different panel pages to have DIFFERENT synoptics located on them ( a GREAT step forward).

BUT.... the gauge hands and scale and such are still over the background bitmap and will run when the panel is run in the sim.  What I really need Gert to implement is make up a new gauge that is JUST a panel bitmap... and that stays in the background allowing other gauges to always be in front of it  Wink.  That would be a start to getting this idea to work.

Then we'll need stuff like the graphic representation of valves to change from green to red on predefined contditions ...... and the line in them to change from "in line" to "at right angles".   Sigh....... down the road maybe.

...

best,

....john

Nice!

You're thinking too hard though John.  Wink

Those valves don't need to be anything more complex than annunciators. If Gert were to expand the way annunciatiors work to allow more customization, then it would be a simple matter of using a valave annunciator to do what you want. The same code would also allow folks to have greater control over how their annunciators appear and function.

Steve,

Dang... you are dead on right!  Instead of an annunciator image that is either lit or not lit....you just need an assignable "annuinciator" that is a valve schematic either open or closed.  Brilliant!!!!!!

On another note... I just discovered a payware program called RealATIS.  See my comments about it in the Payware forum.... it is GREAT for better ATIS information.....including for online multiplayer when otherwise you don't have the Microsoft ATC controls available.  Allows you to plan your arrival based on current weather and active runways and such.  You can set the reception range for each airport individually.

best,
