Great stuff Clipper!

A suggestion. I like it that people are taking turns to choose the 'shot of the day'. Could there be some threads every Sunday night where interested people can place ONE of their screenshots as their 'shot of the week'. The thread would have 5 pics (no point in losing quality), then a new one would be started.

Another idea which could maybe be combined with the other -  a rating system. People can put up shots to be rated for composition, creativity and overall beauty, each time out of 10 for example.

Rating shots is fun, and easier to do than think of a comment, meaning people might be more willing to post a reply, and people get the feedback their hard work deserves. I was going to suggest this for the main freeware forum, but perhaps we could try it here first.

Just two ideas, I don't might if people don't like them  Wink

Cheers

i think it would be caohtic to have the "shot of the week" from everyone, it would be very confusing, but the rating one is a very good idea

or, you could combine the two

for example, i could post what i think is my best shot of the week, and then people rate it from 1-10

that way you get a new thread per person, instead of about 10 threads with different people's pictures scattered about in them

cheers

what about a sticky summing all the valuable tips given so far?

I mean people keep on posting their tips as they do now, and when you, or many of us, consider them as really helpfull, then you quote them in the sitcky thread...

Great ideas so far. Rate the pic sounds like fun, anyone have any ideas on how to work out the logistics? Just post a pic and ask for a 1-10 rating in the responses? Sounds simple and fun.

Summarizing the tips and tweeks may be a bit more challenging at this point. I agree, a fine idea, kind of like our Screenshot Manual. Maybe as the weeks go by and we accumulate many more tips, we'll set out to gather the top ones and post them in a sticky.  Smiley

These threads could even be entered as "Polls"
