...Studio V's
"Screenart Gallery"
.... Every studio needs a gallery to display their finest work right? Studio V should be no exception. Every week, there will be a few screenshots carefully selected from among all the pics posted in our grahics forums, including screenshots posted here at the Studio exclusively for Gallery consideration. Everyone's pics will be considered, regardless of your computers abilities, as the criteria will be creativity, originality and of course, visual appeal..... Who will be selecting these prestigious screenshots? EVERYONE! We'll have a rotating selection committee of 2 or 3 of us per week (on a volunteer basis), then their task is to hand pick what they feel are screenshots most deserving of entering into the "Screenart Gallery". (i'll post the pics into the Gallery every Sunday evening.) Of course everyone is welcome to browse the Screenart Gallery and comment on the pics posted there. At years end, hopefully we'll have a galleried collection of the finest screenart on the Net...
So I hope you like the idea and if you're interested in being on the first or any future committees, please let me know. As well If you've got a really special pic or two you'd like considered for our Screenart Gallery, post them in your own thread here at the Studio anytime, as our Gallery should be up and running by next Sunday.

thats another brilliant idea clip...i sometimes think it's a shame that certain shots you see just fade off into the nether regions never or rarely seen again...a great way to get to see some of the many splendid shots posted and picked out by the members here,,,,bravo

Both freeware and payware, contest shots, edited and non edited qualify Stephen. The idea is to showcase screenshot creativity and our members talents. The tools we use to get there are up to each individual..
Everyone, keep in mind as well that you can take screenshots just for Gallery consideration as well. Post your best stuff here at The Studio in your own thread.
BAW0343, Lemoncat and Ramos and lilley, would be great to have you four kick things off for Week 1's Gallery selections. Let's all touch base a bit later and get things started alright?

Fantastic idea. Looks like I'll have to start posting more and more screenshots!
(With the new Recorder module, I can easily see that happening anyway...)

That'll be up to each individual searching our forums for their selected screenart pics. Remember the selection committee changes every week. For example if you happen to be on the selection committee next week, you can go back 2 or 3 years on "payware" and find a totally incredible pic no-one has seen at the V in ages...or you can browse the Studio's pics submitted on the very same day you're looking, and pic something from there. The possibilities and challenges to find unique and interesting screenshots are almost limitless.

Hopefully this will create contest-like quality, without any of the bickering, seeing as the only rule is to have a gorgeous screenart
Excellent idea!

You're in KB.
Week one is underway, but you're up for week 2. Why don't you start snooping around the forums for intense, original pics and put them in a folder. Send 'em over to me as next week progresses.
