Erm... Hank... I think I may have a confession...
Didn't occur to me until I just read your post, but I think I may have deleted you from my MSN this morning;
I don't often open it but I had to send something to GP this morning and while it was open I deleted a load of addressed I didn't recognise.
Erm...
I think one was yours...
Erm...
Could ya mail me yr addy again so I can pop u back on?

I heard about GP's forum but I haven't been onto it yet. He'll only shoot me down anyway (he used ta teach me, like I used ta teach you. lolol)

Is there any way to prevent crashes in the future of the game?

No.
All you can do is to try to prevent it as much as you can.
I've had CFS1 installed on my machine since 2001.
I flew at least once a day, every day, up until June this year.
It's been through Win 95, Win ME, and now XP Pro (SP2).
It's never crashed (even in ME), or been the cause of a crash.

I suspect it's conflicting with something else you have on your machine. Maybe a driver or something.

The next time it crashes, make a note of the error code details and Google for it. This will normally point you towards possible sources of any conflicts and, occasionally, possible cures.
