If I remember right, he was one of the big name FS aircraft designers during the FS98 years.  That was a little before I began flying the FS sims so I don't know much about him other than that.

I like to add something to the article:

SimViation is also well known for its forum population of 19,000+ [most of which are clinicly insane... but that's what makes the site so damn good] and for hosting very creative screenshot competitions. Grin

AvSim, Flight Sim, and SimViation are known as the holy trinity of the FS World.*
