In FSX they should add inflight emergencies situation and a carrer mode...that how a folk complete his dreams of becoming an airliner pilot captain..and what system specification will be required for FSX...mine is
AMD ATHLON 64 3000+
1 GIG DDR RAM
MSI NEO4 MAINBOARD
GEFORCE 6600 256 MB
80GB HDD

I THINK I HAVE TO UPGRADE IT TO TAKE THE FULL ADVANTAGE OF THE GAME.
FS2004 IS RUNNING AT 40FPS.I THINK FSX WILL GET 20 FPS EASILY IF RUNS ON WINDOWS VISTA...WHAT U SAY...OR WHICH THING I HAVE TO UPGRADE..ONLY VGA AND RAM WILL GIVE GREAT RESULTS

Yeah your system should be fine, I think its mainly people with anything less than 512MB RAM and a directx9 non-compliant videocard that should be thinking about an upgrade.
Of course, better hardware never hurts.  Wink

Inflight emergencies are something Ive always dreamt of! Ive alwyas wanted to delcare Pan Pan Pan and even ask permission for fuel dump and have them vector me somewhere its safe to dump etc.... that would be totally awesome.

Oh and ATC support for helos would be awesome too!  Smiley Smiley

I agree, in-flight emergencies would add a lot to realism. And another nice idea would be AI emergencies or imperfections. And I mean besides missed approaches and ATC transmissions "Mooney 216, you are 400 below your assigned altitude". And maybe re-routing because of airport inconvenience (plane stuck on runway, severe weather in the area) And I mean automatic re-routing, not IFR destination changes. It would be nice not to always have to manually simulate disasters and such, for them to be a complete surprise, and for AI to go through them as well.

You can rest assured, if FSX incorporated in-flight emergencies at the rate they occur in real life, you'd be waiting a long, long time for one to happen because they are extremely rare.

Yeah, but even if you're fine it would be cool to ask for firetrucks to be on standby! Grin

If it's not in FSX then you can bet there will be an addon for it. Already in FS9 we have it with FSPassengers, you even get the sound of fire trucks if/when you do make a successfull emergency landing! However, FS9 ATC does not recognise this so, when I do get an emergency in FSP, I just either ignore them or turn them off.

If we could have emergencies, then what about talk down to go with it.  Now that would be good.

That WOULD be cool, "American 135 you are steady on the glide path, looking good. Five miles out now American 135, you're a little low. American 135! for Gods sake, PULL UP!!"

I'd declare an emergency every flight just to scare the ATC! Wink

X-Plane has had emergecies for years. I love X-plane just wish it looked as good as FS9 with all my add-ins. And yes the ATC will talk you all the way to the ground.

I tinkered about with X Plane a while ago, I was very surprised to see that I blew tyres on landing and the aircraft lent towards the deflated side.....Wake up Microsoft.

Well it would be cool but how about they just make what we already have better first. Or it will be "American 135 you are steady on the glide path, looking good. Five miles out now American 135, you're a little low. American 135! for Gods sake, PULL UP!!"
